TEG works with host governments to counter human trafficking by strengthening law enforcement and prosecution institutions, legislation, training, and providing policy advice.
The Emergence Group is uniquely qualified to provide teams of subject-matter experts who have extensive international experience in assisting governments in assessing the extent of their human trafficking problem and the effectiveness of their existing counter-measures. We can then use this information to make evidence-based decisions to design, implement, and evaluate efficient and effective anti-human trafficking policies, programs and initiatives. Specifically, TEG does this by:
Conducting assessments of the nature of the trafficking problem and the effectiveness of current responses to the problem;
Working with host country rule of law agencies to develop effective human trafficking legislation and operational policies and procedures;
Bringing together governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to develop coordinated strategies that address education, prevention, enforcement and victims’ assistance;
Providing human trafficking training and technical expertise to rule of law agencies,
Assisting the host country in designing and administering evaluation instruments to gauge the effectiveness of responses to the human trafficking problem.
